The New York State Department of Environment Conservation plays a large role in our offices, especially beginning in mid-August. With a fully automated licensing system, Town Clerks across the State are able to issue permits to eligible hunters. From time to time through this process questions or issues arise, whether due to software or mechanical malfunction or lack of training. Vice versa, the New York State Department of Environment Conservation updates State Clerks regularly with news and licensing information. As your Liaison to the NYSDEC, I
act as the NYSTCA Executive Board go-between mitigating problems, disseminating information, and keeping Clerks across the State informed. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns.
