Membership
The New York State Town Clerks Association (NYSTCA) is an organization dedicated to promoting the professional development of Town Clerks across the State as administrative leaders.  Membership offers Town Clerks and their Deputies encouragement, specialized assistance, voting privileges, and continuing education relative to professional and personal improvement. Associate Members (Retirees) do not have voting rights.  In joining the NYSTCA the benefits are many:

Directory - The complete listing of names, addresses and telephone numbers of Town Clerks throughout New York State, available to all members, is updated annually for the pre-directory section and biannually for the clerk's information.

Town Recorder - The newsletter which is published quarterly by the Association contains timely and useful information, written and designed specifically for the New York State Town Clerks. 

Annual Conference - This three and a half day seminar provides vital information from State agency representatives and  valuable training sessions on professional development. Credits are awarded towards the achievement for Registered Municipal Clerk Certification (RMC).  Members enjoy a reduced registration fee. 

Networking - The NYSTCA Executive Committee, consisting of six Officers, the Ex-Officio and twenty District Directors representing all areas of New York State, is available to assist all Town Clerks as the needs arise. 

Scholarships - NYSTCA scholarships for attendance both at the NYSTCA Annual Conference and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) program. Scholarships of $400 are awarded each year for the NYSTCA Annual Conference including the $500 Margaret Lamoree Founders scholarship. Scholarships of $400 are awarded for attendance at an accredited IIMC training school. 

Website Members Only Section - Access is given to a Members Only section of the NYSTCA website. This area shares sample laws, forms, and documents, E-Blast signup, and the ability to nominate fellow clerks for positions in leadership, in addtional to other options.
 
 $75.00 per year Membership Fee covers both the Town Clerk and Deputy(s).  Associate Members pay $10.00 per year.
